The Accounting Cluster ACT@LMU consists of the Institute for Accounting, Auditing and Analysis (A-ccounting), the Institute for Accounting and Control (C-ontrolling) as well as the Institute for Taxation and Accounting (T-axation).
Our research and our teaching deal with
- Norms and application questions of national and international accounting, problems of business analysis and valuation as well as economic questions of auditing,
- the design of internal information systems as well as planning, monitoring and human resource management instruments to support decision-making, evaluate performance and design management’s incentive systems, and
- the critical analysis of legal norms of tax as well as the influence of taxation on corporate decisions and natural persons in the national and international context.
The large number of courses in the areas of Accounting, Controlling, and Taxation enables students to get a generalized as well as specialized education.
With the help of more than 30 practice partners as well as numerous honorary professors and lecturers, we offer our students an extraordinary practical orientation in their course of studies.
You can find information on the individual courses, research interests as well as institute teams on each institute’s homepage.
